15.000 kms along italian serie B stadiums, a long trip to regain the soul.

In the year 2006/2007 Juventus FC was sent to serie B secondary division to serve the punishment after the corruption scandal named ‘Calciopoli’, a system of sport fraud and corruption on italian football that has seen as the major protagonists the Juventus team managers. Most of the juventus players left the team, but some of them, such as Gianluigi Buffon, Alex Del Piero, Pavel Nedved, David Trezeguet, Mauro Camoranesi, decided to restart from the serie B ‘purgatory’ italian little stadiums.

It will be a unique event that Marco Garofalo decides to follow and photograph all the matches, especially transfers, the football players, the stadium and the cities waiting for the ‘Old Lady’

Starting with a look that investigates the relationship between Italians and football experienced as a sort of religious faith, Garofalo assisted and enlivened the traditional rite of the football game, making it even more noble here thanks to the unusual clash between the first and the last of the class, giving life to a 1 year long reportage full of stories in order to become a contemporary epic.

The images are accompanied with the stories of some to the most important writers of Juventus faith, such as Sandro Veronesi and Mario Desiati, and detailed chronicles by Raffaele Panizza, who closely followed most of this trip.
